The shou sugi ban process is an ancient Japanese technique used for preserving and protecting wood; by burning it!
We've been using this method for months and have been selling pieces with that as the base finish and offering a myriad of choices for final color. We've applied the finish to mantels, shelves, even bar tops with an incredible response.
